Pre-Professional Program

The Pre-Professional Program at Harbour Dancentre is a full day dance / academic program for dancers in Grade 8-12 who wish to pursue a career as a performer, choreographer, or teacher. It is an intensive and demanding program designed to take dancers to the professional level while completing the academic requirements for a BC High School Diploma. Upon graduation from the program, dancers will be ready for a career in dance or entrance into college or university.

Students in the program attend Harbour Dancentre from 9am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The morning and afternoon consist of a dance block followed by an academic block, and the students may then stay for evening classes that are appropriate for their level. During the day our lower studio is converted into a classroom based on the Steelcase LearnLab concept and reflecting modern research on independent / small group education. Dance blocks are held upstairs in our upper studio spaces. For more information please email Stacey or call the studio at 250-754-6262.
